so, i’ve been lucky enough to be able to make watching horror movies a big part of my research for school.  (and by the way, the nice shit you guys said about my painting made me feel real good.  reeeeal good.)  friday night heather and i went to see one such movie: “paranormal activity”.  it scared the living shit out of us.  i can’t explain it well, but most POV movies really work for me even though i KNOW it’s a gimmick.  i’d go into all the different reasons why i thought this movie worked, and why it was so fucking scary, but i think you should go see it then we can email.  i’m also REALLY looking forward to seeing the house of the devil, which nick promises is fucked-up-scary.

this weekend was really bad, and kinda good too.  friday was my midterm critique–that went fine, got four completely different opinions on my work.  our basement flooded thursday night…we’re talking 3 or 4 inches all over.  i should have gotten some photos.  at least of the little snake i found down there.  after the water was out, we realized the hot water heater’s pilot light was out, but that wasn’t too difficult to fix.  boring, right?  domestic bullshit.  my dog also jumped the fence and led me on a 15 minute chase around the neighborhood, which really just pissed me off.

on the other hand, ben moved (mostly) into his new place, which is great.  i’m going to be his decorator.  (terrIFic~!  wink!)  i also got to see my old friend josh bratcher and meet his girlfriend.  i see josh about once every three years, so no matter how brief, it’s always a good experience.  quang also was in town, so we had lots of company.  also, the razorbacks had a really good game, but you probably already know that.

take the bad with the good or something.  bloody marys and all that.
